injector advice
high all, i am not doing a turbo build <yet> but was hoping this forum would be able to help with my injectors for my 2.2
the build i am doing consists of an ej-22 with 11.1 high comp ceramic coated pistons, ported and polished heads, torque cams, lightened flywheel, etc...
i have the engine build done, but now i just need help finding bigger injectors for my 2.2. i purchased turbo legacy injectors because i thought they would fit my fuel rails with no mods, but that is not the case...
as you can see where the injector seats in the bottom of the fuel rail they are a different diamater.
any advice? i was hoping that someone that had done a turbo build on a n/a 2.2 had already dealt with this problem.
thanks for any help!

cool
thanks for the reply!
i dont mind modifying the harness, i just dont want to get into swapping fuel rails if i can help it...
370 should be more than enough for my build... i am planning on keeping the car streetable, so i cant imagine needing anything more than 370... any idea approx. what hp these will handle? i dont think i will see more than 220 hp... maybe 250 with a progressive nos kit...
also, where did you get your injectors, how much were they, and what kind of build did you do? i am assuming a turbo build? (given the forum)
thanks alot!

Just read your post in turbo 2.2- Remember that you're going to be flowing almost twice as much fuel, with not nearly twice as much air. I think that with only about 220 horse, you'll be better off going with your stock injectors until you get the link. I ran with stock injectors up to 6 psi at about 235 horse, with no fuel issues. I'm not the expert, though. Talking to skywalker from i-speed might be wise.

You could just try to get a member of the site to pick up up some Silvia injectors and the the connectors from a junkyard. I did it for Kevin Thomas and it cost me about $30 for the connectors. The plugs are the same with the turbo and non-turbo Silvias so if you need connectors either one will work.

cool
so i just have to find a 240sx in a boneyard or someone willing to part with some parts eh? shouldnt be too hard...
i am however still not sure how i am going to tune my car...
cant start it without new injectors, cant just run bigger injectors without changing the fuel system, dont want to do that untill i can afford the link ecu... so i cant even drive my car untill i have gotten injectors and a link?
any suggestions?

Well the injectors on the US car aren't the same since it uses a KA24DE motor and not the SR20DET or SR20DE of the Silvia. So you would need somebody in Japan to get you a set. If your patience is good then you could keep looking for somebody selling their TEC-2 or Link2 used so you can pick it up cheap.

Depends on the car. The injector connectors on the FWD or AWD SR20DE and DET use a small metal wire to hold the connectors onto the injectors so they won't work. Also the GTI-R uses a top feed injector not a sidefeed which also won't work which is why I say to track down the JDM Silvia injectors and plugs. That or see if Kevin Thomas still has his that he wants to part with.

ebay has 2 sets up for bid right now. search for jdm nissan injectors. They'll come us as s13 240sx turbo injectors. I looked at them and they're the same as the one's I'm using. Like $75 or something for injectors and the fuel rail, which I don't think you'll be able to use.
