oh that,
yeah ,
never hurd of it.
I know what a fule pressure regulator does but what makes a rasing rate one so special?
does it allow the fule pressure to climb as the engine demands more?

I also am looking to upgrade my RS. Its is a 2000 with 90,000 miles added. At first I was just looking for a turbo kit. Looked at both site mentioned before this post. Now I am more interested in a motor swap. With all of the upgrades I had planned on doing I figured it would be a nice start and a little bit cheaper. I have looked at garage tuner before but if there only place is in California then im out. I live in NC and I dont have many connections. Where would be a legitimate place to get a wrx or even an sti motor for my car? Also, are there any other parts i would need to do this and how much should I expect to pay for such a service.

There are local auto auctions all the time that sell junked cars that they pick up from insurance companys. Some require a dealer tax id number... thos are not for you...
Call around your local junk yards and find a wrecked wrx preferibly without front end damage.
Remember; if the timing belt snapped during the accident the valve train is most likely junk and the pistions are most likely pitted. You will see this commonly happens in accidents were the front of the impreza impacts something. The radiator fans crush the timing belt cover and that causes the belt to snap or slip. it happens fast but its slow enough to bash almost ever piston into the valves.
you should be looking at $3k to buy a wrecked wrx
If your going thru the trouble of swapping the engine, might as well do the trans, and rear end as well. from what I hear the trans and rear end is stronger in the wrx'es.
an added bonus to the wrecked wrx idea is you can swapp out the breaks onto yours and instently have a big break kit!!
