Hesitation Issue Uphill???
I have been noticing some weird hesitation issues about 0-5 psi boost going uphill at freeway speeds. The motor feels like its bogging down and then when I hit the gas, spools up normally. Anybody else experience this or have idea what might be causing it?

hey, I use to have the same problem when i had my wrx. Are you experinceing worse mpg? Mine was the weirdest thing and got worse over time. It would start to bog down then stutter then hit boost hard and start going fine. Started doing it when it was stock and then then I put on similar mods as you and then had it tuned at eq thinking a tune would rid the problem. Once tuned the car didn't do it for a couple months and then it came back and started acting very weird again. I did a years worth of problem solving and then had a subaru specialist pull logs from the car and what not and it seemed to be problem with the ecu that was a manufactures defect or something. All in all the car was just a huge problem. Cut my losses, sold the car when it was acting ok and bought a 07 sti limited . I wish you the best with your car, eds a great guy and im sure will help you out with your problem. Hope to hear what your answer to the problem is/was.

I changed the air filter and seems to have gotten better. I logged a few pulls this weekend, but I haven't had time to load the data and analyze it. Just by looking at the Cobb while driving, the AFR looked stable with a low of 11.0 (wot), a high of 20.4 (no throttle) and cruising about 14.6, EGT's on the downpipe at 1200 max and no boost creep. Sooo.... we'll see

mpg is about the same. I hope that it's not my ecu, I'd hate to have been crapping out my motor all this time. Ed is definitely a great guy to work with and if I can find anything myself, I'll be contacting him again. Thanks bro, jealous of the limited but what a sucky way to get it.
