I've got a 04 wrx sedan dropped 35mm front and 20mm rear. Spring and struts. Will I have rubbing issues with 245/45? They'll be paired with 17x8 torques. Also, how low can I got if at all without rubbing or rolling the fenders.

Thanks

You will be able to run 245/40/17 with rolling the fenders.

245/45/17 will be almost impossible though.

Did you mean to say with or without rolling. Because it would seem like it's without with the addition to the second statement.

You can get the 235/40/17 is the largest size you can run without rolling the fenders. Also If you run Something Like an Toyo RA-1 you might still need to roll the rear fenders. however, Sedans with eibach prokits on 235/40/17 yoko Es100 or falken st115's do not rub.

05 Sti's, new Legacy sedan, and foresters might be able to fit a 245 wide tire. Best bet would be trial and error. For the 05' STI I usally recomend getting 235/45/17.

I'll to take some rear fender pics this week.

Hey,

Yes you can run a 245/45/17 without rubbing on a 05 STi. The fenders are different on the 05/06 and this allows for a larger tire with no rubbing.

Not entirely true.

Although the fender in the rear are 10mm wider, the track of the car is 10mm wider as well, so the relative space is still the same.

You can run 245/40/17 with minimal chance of rubbing, but 245/45/17 would be very thick, and I would expect rubbing on hard turns.
