We have one of the Borla XR1 raceline series catbacks (designed for the new STI but will work fine on the WRX too).

Read this important fact:

Qoute:
Comes with the usual Borla features, light weight and all pipe to pipe connections have race proven clamps that uses only one bolt to tighten.

Borla pipe connections are slip on type with no flow restrictions or flow distorsions and maintains the 3" diameter on all pipe to pipe connections, not like the oval (typical USDM/JDM units) style that never lines up and distorts flow thus making the mandrel bends prone to flow distorsion and adds weight. Most units are heavier unlike Borla sets, all sets have a car specific design. Gone are those one size fits all applications. Power to weight ratio ;)..It really matters.

I have added a qoute on Mike's thread that will answer most of the email questions/concerns that we recieved on how Borla designs stand up to the USDM/JDM designs. It also answers why you should consider Borla units before investing on a unit that just does not stand up to the function and gains associated with "power to weight" advantages. But to each his/her own. These qoutes are my own observations due to testing and not Borlas statements.

Thank you again

Last time we put one on the scales I think it tipped 38lbs.

It's a damn nice piece. I have one sitting in my garage waiting to go on. Build quality is GREAT. $480 is a smoking deal.
