STiYLIN 08-20-2007, 01:57 PM sorry, wrong year. Keainakoa 08-22-2007, 09:41 PM Dude! Checker's got Chilton Manuals to help you out if you wanna do repairs on your own. Of course, you have to be somewhat mechanically inclined at least. ipozestu 08-22-2007, 09:47 PM It's really easy. Have you looked at it yet. It's sooo easy. stan187 08-23-2007, 06:31 AM Im going to check that out right now thanks I live in Atlanta Ga now and I cannot find a used one does anybody know if there is a comparable replacement for a 98 rs radiator. whtwrx1991 08-23-2007, 01:25 PM to remove the radiator: Step 1: empty the radiator with the radiator plug on the bottom of the radiator. Step 2: remove the hoses, bottom, and top, and overflow Step 3: remove the top bracket Step 4: remove, if applicable, the underside plastic tray Step 5: unplug the electric fan motors, usually two Step 6: pull that sucker out Caution: when putting new radiator fluid I would recommend using Subaru factory fluid with conditioner. Make sure you "burb" the radiator so that you don't have air line bubbles. Subaru's are a little harder than most. stan187 08-23-2007, 05:12 PM to remove the radiator: Step 1: empty the radiator with the radiator plug on the bottom of the radiator. Thanks thats whats up I will hit up your directions as soon as I find a another radiator whtwrx1991 08-24-2007, 12:08 PM I found an OEM Subaru radiator at a local speed shop that was $100 less than one at a dealer. If you have any mods, consider getting a larger core for more cool. stan187 08-30-2007, 08:40 PM I found an OEM Subaru radiator at a local speed shop that was $100 less than one at a dealer. You can find them in some online vendors or even ebay. Subaru's oem radiator w/ the plastic top is really cheezy and it's only a matter of time before it leaks again. Might as well spend a little more and get an all aluminum radiator. The Koyo quality is superb and made in Japan. |
