AMS is proud to introduce a new product to the Subaru Impreza community: the AMS Carbon fiber Roof!

Designed as a direct replacement of the factory roof, the AMS CF roof weights in at 10lbs and reduces 16 lbs of weight off a crucial area of the car. It's constructed of A Carbon fiber Kevlar weave with a foam core. It was engineered to stand up to the abuse a race car can throw at it, but still be put on your average daily driver.

We do not have pictures of the roof installed on a Subaru yet as we just got the roof in yesterday. Here are some pictures of the roof on an EVO! (click on thumbnails for HUGE images)

We recommend having a Certified body shop perform the installation as the roof need to be sealed correctly to prevent water leaks. Like I mentioned before, the CF roof is a direct replacement for the factory roof skin. It will work with your factory roof liner and trimmings.

Bump for A++ Fitment!

Really it isn't that big of a deal.
Short hand: Remove water rails and headliner, drill out roof skin-pillar spot welds, remove steel roof skin, glue CF roof skin into place, replace water rails, reinstall headliner, DONE
(reasons why body shop is suggested, proper body point locations maintained and getting a good water tight seal done)

Very nice composite work for such a large surface area part. :thumb:

Is the armid fiber exposed on the exterior side or is it embedded under the first layer of CF?
