its most likely not a bad valve...as they dont just bend all of a suden, unless you had an accident, and even a slipped timing belt wouldn't do that like that.

My guess would be a broken piston, b/c even w/ a broken ring land it would build some psi.

or

A VERY BURNT VALVE...that's not to common for a WRX (But COBB maps are known to run lean though).

Price all depends on whats going on.
