hey paul my check engine light is on cause i put on a downpipe. i heard i should get a cel fix to fix it which i can since it's not expensive but is their any other way around to this problem...? if not how fast can i get a cel fix from you...?

Well, if you've changed out the downpipe, you're going to experience boost fuel cut sometime in the near future.

This is how it will manifest itself:

You're cruising on the fwy in 6th.
There's a vehicle that you want to over take, so you down shift into 5th or 4th, and floor it.
Since your exhaust is now free of any restrictions, the turbo is going to spool up & achieve target boost very quickly.
So quickly, that it'll overboost, triggering overboost fuel cut.
The fuel pump is turned off for just a fraction of a second, causing the car to shutter.
And a "Check Engine" light & flashing Cruise light.

Only way around this is to tune the car.
