It started in the Sacramento Area first, then moved to Stockton, we could be next. Bay Area peeps we need to get this taken care of.

Obviously, your hood will be popped because there is now probable cause that your are modded under the hood.

They impounded like 7 cars i heard, and gave out over 50 citations. Seeing as stockton is like 20 min away, this sucks nuts. Goes to show that they are really out to put a stop on the car modding. My ep isnt dunked under the limit, nor does it look ricey or anything........i am carb legal under the hood, except for the header....which i'll be repalcing in the near future.

I guess what i was trying to get as is.......F*ck california and their gay laws.

Oh **** man!!!!! My car is about to be lowered whenver the springs come in Also I have a Whale Tail on my car, will I be pulled over too, for probable "street racing" man, oh man. Too bad my car comes stock with that big *** wing, lowered does not make you a racer, if so you have to pull over every S-10 Ranger, Chevy, Dodge, and Ford truck that is lowered as well, with all their flowmasters, cai's, and numerous mods that make them "street racers", lol!!!! I do not condone street racing, but having a car that looks a certain way does not warrant someone getting pulled over for some bull****!!!!!!! This sounds like it is slowly moving from one town to the next, pretty soon it will be San Leandro, Oakland, Hayward, East Bay, SF, and surrounding areas. Where does this bull**** stop???? How many ****ing murderers, drug dealers, pimps, and countless other mother ****ing crooks are out there doing there thing, and not getting any mother ****ing attention by the ****ing "MAN"???? This has to stop, innocent people that take pride in their rides getting stopped for nothing other then looking the part. I thought we had the same rights as any other person on this land we call the free. The good ole' ****ing U.S. of A!!!! Also this reminds me of Racial Profiling as well, not to say it is a racial thing, but it is profiling. Just because we are driving our cars in a fashionable matter, does not make us a law breaker "street racer" aren't we somehow covered by the Constitution, and Law somewhere??? Look at why you get pulled over as probable cause though. Lowered, and being winged, hmm, sounds like they were smoking some good **** then. I can see they pull you over for modded exhaust, illegally tinted windows, no front plate, etc., but lowered and having a wing or big wing on your car, come on. If so then the STi, and Evo, even winged REX's are deemed illegal in the eye of the law. Illegal things are a good reason to be pulled over for, but what they are doing is wrong. It's not adding up, lowered, and winged, hmm????? I think I missed something, as far as my car is concerned it is not all stock, but the parts I have except for the CBE are considered and have paperwork backing them up as CARB Legal.

They're making such a fuss out of the CHP officer being killed because he was doing graveyard by himself due to a higher limit of tickets to be written in a day. I believe it was 1 ticket per hour for every hour of patrol. Now I think they bumped it up to 3 tickets per hour for every hour patrol. With an understaffed force the officers were forced to ride by themselves during graveyard which is ridiculous.

Also, might they be making a fuss out of a CHP officer DYING serving his community? Don't get me wrong but if my Dad died on patrol, I hope something would actually happen.

Nah, there is no need to bash the thread starter. I know where he is comming from. Its overwhelming at times man. But its only temperary to make themselves feel like they've done something. They do this everytime something big happens. For example my friends street racing incident (which BTW his car was completely stock....lol) They are cracking down in Stockton big time. Not in Sacramento though... :-p

"crackdown" solution=own a sleeper, than less attention minus STi owners who cant help the wing, rims, and agressive look cuz thats just ignorance on the cops part for not knowing what stock is.

it's bull and we need to start getting together and going political. Crack down on street racing and side shows yeah. Don't start pulling people over cause they have rims. We need to prove that it's profileing and do something about it. No sense in moaning about it cause it won't stop.

They did it in the 50's. They're doing it now. If you look like you might want to race then you will. apparently.

I have an STi wing because I like the look, and plan on doing track days (only have done Laguna Seca once so far...but hopefully more to come) and now because I look kinda like the kids street racing I get ****ed with? thats pretty ghey. I think the CHP could do a better job by going to street races under cover and getting plate numbers...and keeping track of those cars...maybe I should put a jesus fish on my bumper and a cross hanging from my mirror..I'll look like a good, wholesome christian boy

EDIT: I bet if I even mentioned tracking the car they'd be like "oh, you've modded this car for tracking and now its on the street? pop the hood...NOW"

 

doesn't work. I had a jesus sticker on the window of my last two cars. In one of them I got the "religious people don't do drugs talk" and held on the side of the free way for 2 hours deal....I was 100% sober by the way. and didn't have drugs of any kind on me since I don't do drugs.

the other car I got somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 tickets in....including fix it violations for illegal parts (some of which were legal)

 

Well basically there has been a "New Wave of Authority Figures" who have asked for "Street Racing" participants be looked out for more. It started late last year in Sacramento area, and is moving from town to town. Please, and I mean please read the original post. I know we went through the whole "Street Racing" Ricer bs here in the bay Milpitas, Fremont, Oakland, but that tended to be more during the night time. This **** is happening during commute hours, during "Non Street Racing" hours, and places as well. It's one thing to be driving around a local "hang out" and "racing spot" but on your way to work, school, church in the middle of the day, I don't think so man.

So how can we get together and get all political on these punk *** *****???? Yeah my car has a big wing, it is functional, does that make me a street racer??? Yeah I will be lowered, yeah etc., etc., when will it stop, and what can we do about this.

basically we need to get our voices heard in and make it known that we are aware that we are being profiled. Ask why our tax dollars are going toward getting us useless unfounded tickets.

Like getting a ticket for going too slow and having STREET RACER written across the top...dude I used to go to church with got that one....looking for a street adress in a res. area.

get some laws looked at...even if we can't pass anything at least it's being seen.

why is my exhaust getting a ticket when the guy that just flew by me in a HUGE truck that is breaking many laws including illegal exhaust is not? weird.

 

Just to let you guys know I was pulled over in Stockton this Monday and is was no fun.

I had my hood pop open, pictures taken, and he even had me start my car and rev my engine to 4500 RPM.

Gave me a ticket for no front plates, tinted front windows, and my carbon fiber sidemarkers.

He almost gave me a ticket for my exhaust but felt it was not too loud (thank god for Scooby!). He questioned my car's height but I clearly told him it was STOCK, sorry if my add on kit give too much effects of it being lowered.

But he was checking my car VERY carefully questioned everything under my hood, guess he was use to looking for honda parts. I mean I know what I had on my car is illegal so that's my fault, but something tells me I'm going to get hassled after I get everything fixed and add some gold rims on my WRB wrx. LOL

Now I'm too paraniod to get a up/dp and etc.
