Hey Adam, Noah, and Kevin. I thought this question may be helpful to others as well. I'm curious to see how much it would cost to do an inspection on my 01RS or any subaru for that matter and provide an inspection sheet or something of that nature to use as a sales tool when selling your subaru. I ask because I would like to show a buyer whether they are in the subaru community or just a plain buyer the condition of my car. Thanks guys! :D

PS - Don't worry I'm not selling anytime just yet...but man has the V8 bug bit me again hehe ;)

Ricky...we do do inspections (such as pre-inspections before buying a car, as well as putting cars back to stock for sale purposes). We have not created a "check off sheet" but those who come here will always have records of what has been done to the car...receipts are a great sales tool also...but thanks for the suggestions, as we just might implement that.

Hey Noah...how much is it to get a subaru inspected? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm planning to step up to the plate and just buy an 04/05 STi and would want it inspected...especially the major stuff like leakdown/compression testing...also what would the inspection comprise of?

the inspection that you requested was for Compression/Leak Down Test...we charge $150 for this.

how much for a full inspection including leak down/compression? ie suspension, drivetrain, etc.

we charge a $50 fee for a once over on a car...the leak down/compression is $150, so you would be looking at $200 if you wanted all this done.

ps - i think you guys should maybe add that service to your webpage, it may not be a popular job to perform, or one that is puchased often, but i think it would be great to let people know that you do an inspection and leakdown/compression checks especially since you guys are one of the best mehcanical subaru shops around :) ywia
