Both items will bolt right in "replacing" the stock turbo and IC. But without the proper upgrades like fuel injectors, pump and a tune the car will most likely run like junk.
There are 2 mounts on the IC mounting brackets, one for the stock WRX IC and one for the STI IC.

hey the usdm top mount from an sti wont be a direct swap to any us spec wrx... what will is a jdm top mount. the us spec sti one uses diff mounting brackets but you can get them from subaru. but if you want to do it the easy way and get a bigger intercooler you can get a slightly used jdm top mount sti intercooler from a V7 JDM STi which is the biggest ever made for around $300. go to www.rhdjapan.com, they used to deal only through ebay but mostly everything is over there site now, and if your looking for hard to find jdm parts just email them they are amazing! but i did the jdm v7 top mount swap on my car and all i had to do was kinda pull it a little because its a snug fit, but it is direct... lesson i learned, have atleast one extra set of hands when your foolin with the intercooler or you will be cursing alot!

FYI: Brackets are the same, the mounting tabs on the USDM STi IC are located in a different position, this to make up for the drive-by-wire throttle body. Stock USDM WRX brackets need to be modified to fit properly, we've done these many times. The unfortunate part is that it requires cutting & welding.

there it is! i knew it was something about the brackets that make the usdm sti intercooler a non direct swap... my jdm one went in with out any modification! and its bigger... bigger is always better!
