I'm just curious, but I'm hitting a brick wall with my '78 project scoob. Im really sick of this carberator and funky motor, and I have a question for you guys... (BTW the old project L just passed its smog test :) )

1) Do you think you could put just an old EJ18 or EJ22 into it? (I have some details on what would be required, but of course its more fabrication than a normal swap, but less complicated wiring since you wont have much wiring to integrate into. It would also require either an EA82 tranny, or something else that the EJ could bolt to... I dont know if an EJ tranny will work)
2) Could you get it to pass smog?
3) How expensive would it get?

What's up man...

the best way I can answer that is, we wouldn't do the swap.

my suggestion is to talk to Fine Line Imports (FLI (http://www.finelineimports.net)).

thanks,
