Wheel Size help
Wheel Size help
first of all, my set up is stock strut w/ cobb lowring springs.
I'm looking for 18x9, will these fit on my car(with current set up) and if not, will 17x9 be ok.
would i need coilovers and camber adjustments to fit 18x9?
and what would be a good tire width to match by 9.
example picture w/ wheels i want:

thanks in advance.

Im am sure you will have no issue with that setup.. A friend of mine is running 18x9.5 on his '04 wrx wagon and he's sitting on Coilobers and its hella flush too. So with a sedan, you wont have a problem running them. Tire wise, Im thinking 265's.

235, 265?
i want it to sit flush, good fit. thats why i'm thinking by 9 since stock is 8 and its too far inside so looks ugly. as for tire, i guess it depends on how much it sticks out and worry about tire rubbing the fender. i do dislike having smaller tire, i'd like it to have the tire walls straight up rather than slinted inside.

I have a similar problem.. i have a 04 wrx , stock suspension.. will 18x9 fit my car without any rubbing? i also dislike the narrow looking 18x7.5's and wanted to go wider without running into any problems.. PLZ HELP, THANKS

you can fit a 9" wide wheel on an STi ... run with a 45 millimeter offset and a 245 tire width (you could squeeze 255's with some alignemnt and / or fender work)
On my 2004 STi,I use 17x9,+44,255/40,on stock springs and struts. They fit flush and would work lowered. This tire has the same overall diameter as the stock 225/45. 18x9 and 255/35 would work just the same. It looks and handles great. A rear inner fender mod has to be done which you can see in detail at IWSTI. Go to the "How-To" section and search under "roll" for the thread by T3h Clap.
