hey all. just wondering how long your tires are lasting? how do they look after a few months? mine are badly beaten, edges rolled(ran 40 psi, so it wasn't under inflation as most other users of other car models run 25-35) tread shredded off, etc. i know i drive stupid hard, but is that the proper way to drive these cars?
basically i am looking for the AS/ESP/SM drivers that drive sti's or wrx's and rank high in their regions who have tires that last or look new after half a year of racing. pics of tires would be greatly appreciated.
my setup. stock STi, v700's/stock size (heat cycled/shaved)on stock sized rims. DCCD adjusted depending on course layout.
course setup is pretty tight lasting for 50+ seconds.
pics will come when i get home. thanks b
V700 users please.

Ecsta V700's or Victoracer V700's?
Regardless I don't think you're going to find too many options that "last or look new after a year and a half of racing." That said the Ecsta V700's are known for their short life span so maybe a Toyo RA-1 would fit the bill.

oh yeah, ecsta v700's.
hi carl. my question comes from seeing other car's tires that look like new after a year of use. i just want a little more info before i change my driving style.
oh before i forget,
dexter if you happen to read this. i just noticed that my ecsta v700 tires that i got from you do not match. one of the miata guys mentioned something about the differing compounds. like 6a and 8a? one being softer, etc. looking at the tires, the wear also differs according to compound. is there anything i can do about it? i gotta check to see if at least 2 are matching and not 3 and 1.
thanks b

hey just to clarify. i 100% have 4 ecsta v700's. just the compound within the set is different. at least one is the soft K6A compound and 2 are the harder K8A compound. i gotta check the fourth one when i get home. the K6A tire is missing more meat than the other 2(the 4th was buried below)
anyways, any reason they weren't matched?
