torque in ft. lbs. for 2002 wrx

as the title says I wanted to know what people are torquing down their lugs to on a 2002 wrx. The manual says 55-75 lbs I believe, but that seems too vague to me

anyone know?

Nope. I torque my aftermarket wheels down at 80 ft-lbs. So 55-75 ft-lbs sounds right.

the spec is actually 58-72 foot pounds .... I would use the higher end of that range if it was my choice

Yea after I posted and went back to the book and saw that the numbers that I wrote in the thread are not the same as ones found in the manual. I went ahead and torqued them to 65 thinking that was a good average.

Just don't over torque. Stripped wheel studs are not fun.

Never done them. GST fixed mine when that happened. I hear I have 2 replacement wheel studs from the "L."
