This is a snapshot of the instructions for my Omori egt sensor. The part labeled "Nipple" is to be torqued to 70-110 ft-lbs which is understandable. But the part labeled "Bag nat" or bag nut whatever you wanna call it is supposed to be torqued to 450-500 ft-lbs!! Is it just me or does that sound ridiculous? Most of my friends torque wrenches don't even go past 150 ft-lbs! Should I just torque it in there by hand then bust out a huge breaker bar on it? Anyone else ever come across something like this doing their egt?

There is a tool called a torque multiplier. It is in essence a giant torque wrench with gear reduction. For every unit of force, it multiplies it and that way you are able to torque things to super human torque specs.
Sounds like a typo though. Im sure the threads would come out of that nut long before you reached 450ft/lbs. Good luck

All those numbers sound way high to me. Consider all your exhaust bolts are spec'd to about 27ft/pounds?
Aren't these parts usually made of brass? 70-110ft/lbs will shred them.
