summer or all season tires?
I've been debating on what wheels I should get for quite a while and am now set on the rota formula mesh. I'm not very familiar with what tires I should get, but am looking for something that will last me a while as money is a concern. What would you recommend as a good performance tire at a good price that will last me a while? I know these all contradict each other, but what would you recommend as my best bet. BTW, I will travel to Tahoe on occasion, but can throw on the stockers if my best bet is sticking with summer tires. Sorry if this is a redundant question, but I did a search to no avail.
I really need to improve the handling on my car. These stocker re-92s feel like their caving in when I take a turn hard.
Thanks,
Chris

summer tires like the potenza s03 or michelin pilot sport ps2 handle great in the rain and in the dry, but the snow is another story completely. and they wear out in 20,000 miles.
if you aren't tracking your car, I would get a great all-around tire with good braking performance, sporty handling, and all-season traction like the Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S. It's a mud and snow rated tire (useful for trips to Tahoe), yet it still delivers nearly the same performance of a summer tire. Nearly being the operating word here. They won't be as good as Azenis in the dry, but then again, you have to ask yourself if you need it. the Rosso M+S will also last quite a while longer than max performance summer tires.
