Staggered Wheels

I am new to all wheel drive. I have a 2004 Impreza 2.5 RS.
Will it hurt my drivetrain if my rear wheels are .63 inches taller.
I am thinking about running staggered wheels, 18x8 with 225/40/18 tires in front and 18x9 with 245/40/18 tires in the rear.

Thanks

If I were you and you really want to do this I would check into a 45 series front tire. If the rolling diameter is the same I think you will be ok. There will be some difference in rolling resistance but as long as the diameter is the same it should be ok.

not the best idea for AWD. You really want all 4 tires to have the same diameter and width.

FR cars can do this no problem, but AWD it is bad on the center diff (over time of course)
