Does anyone have any recommendations for a set of 17x7.5's that are economical yet durable? Also, would they look alright on an unlowered, stock suspension GDA?
I've heard about Rota's: any opinions on them? How is their quality? They're cheap and lightweight, a tempting combination -- sounds almost too good to be true?
Thanks alot!

Rota's are the way to go. As far as not lowering the car, it's going to look kind of off no matter what wheels you get. The best bet is to live with the gap until you either get used to it or save up money to lower the car later.

About the suspension... I don't really want a slammed look, but more of a stance the JDM STi's. I guess then that I would have to get the dealer-option STi suspension to get a similar look?
Oh, and in the brochures, the pics of the 17in. BBS's look pretty good. Does anyone know if they were applied in conjunction with the STi suspension? Thanks!

If you're willing to pay that much just to get a lowered look, something's wrong. Research springs for the WRX. I think the prodrives and some other brands are pretty conservative on how low they drop the car. The SPT setup will improve handling, but will do little for looks and will cost an arm and a leg.

ICIC... thanks bone! I'm a suspension n00b haha... I never really considered suspension mods mainly 'cause I think the WRX has already superb handling. Wasn't until my search for rims that I realized that the WRX would look kinda funky on 17's w/o suspension work.
