Danger: Rant "Consolodation of Frustration and Anger With Current Economical Crisis"
So I need to vent some of my current anger with national/world government and organizations that are currently taking a communal massive **** on We, The People.
1. OPEC. Oh! I'm sorry Mr. Millionaire oil tycoon - is $84.56 too little to pay you for a barrel? Well, excuse my ignorance, but you can kindly kiss the fattest part of my ***. They were happy as pigs in **** when oil was $145/barrel and we were buying it up - but then we started to conserve our driving and refused to pay $5/gallon and they got a surplus of oil from drilling. Now with unemployment at 7%, this credit crisis - people can't buy gas even though its down to $3/gallon (which I would deem 'acceptable'). So now Mr. Oil Tycoon gets all hot in a biscuit because he just bought his 9th million dollar house and was expecting that big paycheck. Now OPEC is telling its suppliers to STOP producing so it can creep back up over $100/barrel. Go to Hell OPEC; we should have stopped buying from them years ago and commenced drilling in Alaska and off of our coasts.
2. AIG. You have to be kidding me, right? AIG cries to the government to get a bailout (which is no problem because they are all buddies and paid off those who they don't like years ago), gets BILLIONS of dollars and what do they do?! They hold two $500,000 luxury expos for their executives; luckily the one in Half Moon Bay was canceled when they figured it wouldn't be 'cost effective'. I am starting to wish that they had held it - I would have been on the road to the Ritz Carlton with my bullhorn and signs telling people "Don't pay your AIG bill - all it is doing is insuring that these executives are drinking Moët & Chandon instead of Korbel."
3. The government. I could go on for hours but I will sum it up in this sentence: This entire credit crisis and bailout of mega million dollar corporations and executives is a farce: all it dumbs down to is Corporate America ****ing the **** out of American government and using We, The People as a jizz rag.
Rant End.

1. Well, unfortunately, somebody's gotta win, and someone else has got to lose. As of recently, the oil producing nations, esp. in the Middle East, have been winning big. But if we start tapping our own reserves, environmentalists and politicians and others are going to be outraged and fight it, and we could have another huge accident like so many we've alread had.
2. That's corporate America for you. Livin' the American dream, often at the expense of so many others.
3. Well, we the American people aren't the only ones suffering. B/c of the U.S. economy, the global economy is worsening, and people around the globe are feeling the effects of the ish hitting the fan.

My worry is with all this ish coming down hard on your average global citizen - how long is it until they (or we) get entirely fed up with this and revolt?
The government pisses me off - but I do not trust gun totting revolutionaries (present i-club company excluded).

I don't trust the average person with a butter knife, much less an automatic weapon.
At least the people who have guns on this forum are extraordinarily knowledgeable about the gun, the ammo, the specs, gun safety and control - your average Joe Blow still looks down the barrel of a loaded rifle to check it.

You don't think my intention in this post is to bring this to the attention of people? I'm not crying to myself - I'm hoping others will come to attention and realize that we as a people are getting the shaft.
And I was born here, I live here, and I will hopefully die here - I don't want to move out of the country I love: so you can stop using Canada as a lifeline for being snide.

youre a retard. aside form the fact that drilling offshore and in alaska would only increase domestic supply by about 10% (in 10 years when it would be up and running) oil is traded in a free market so that supply wouldnt have much bearing on price, especially at the rte oil consumption is increasing globally.

It is a totally rigged market with fixed demand and supply controlled by vertical integration to such a degree that any of the big oil companies can charge whatever they want to, when they agree to crank up the prices, their profits follow, as we've seen so clearly this last few years.
If ever such a person were to run, I think a lot of us would vote for them, but between the corporate controlled media circus that pretends to be elections in the country, and the brown-nosed corporate lacky's that get offered up as candidates, we really don't have much of a say.
