Question about wheel width for wagons

I have a '06 wagon and would like to get some '11 WRX OEM wheels which are 17x8. I'm running on stock suspension and do not have my fenders rolled. Does anyone know if I will run into any issues with the wider wheels?

Any help is appreciated.

What size tires? '11 oem tire size is 235/45-17 so you MAY rub in rear on SHARP turns. 225/45-17 will be more ideal for your wagon but some tires are wider than others (e.g. Dunlop Direzza Star Spec) & I'm 95% sure you'll be fine. About the wheels... '11 oem 17x8 +53 should be fine on your wagon.

Thanks Fendy! I called SOA and they also said there may be some rubbing in the rear. The tire size I was looking for are 235/45/17.

I ran 17 x 7.5 with 225/45s and it was fine. They will be back on there once I get them back from being powder coated 225/45 is as close as you can get in diameter to the OE 16" tire size.

FYI, OP has 06 wagon (not sure if WRX or 2.5i) so OE tire size maybe 215/45-17 (WRX) or 205/55-16 (2.5i).

Offset is super high.
I would almost give you my word and say that you will not have any problems at all.

That is true, but the car is physically identical to mine in terms of wheel fitment with the exception of those brakes (if WRX)

It's all about the offset.

with the proper offset it should work (and proper size tire of course)...
