Question about stock tires
Snow's finally here and I can't wait to get up there. I don't really trust my parada spec 2's in the snow.
Question:
On the AWD platform, are there any downfalls in replacing the two front worn out re92's for some moderately used ones while keeping the rears that still have life on them? I've heard that you need to change all 4 tires if the front ones wear out first. Thanks in advance

Subaru recommends changing all four tires at the same time, page 11-44 in the Owners Manual.
My opinion is that if the tires you will be driving with are similar in wear, it's okay. I say this because so many Subaru owners don't have their wheel/tires rotated every 7500 miles as the Manual specifies, so that the fronts end up wearing out much faster than the rears. Result: what you ended up with.
As long as you're replacing RE-92s with RE-92s, you should be okay.
If you're buying them from someone you don't know, check them out for punctures and obvious repairs, bubbles in the tread or sidewall, etc.
