It is recommended to stay around +48 to +53 offset, however +45 shouldn't be a problem. I run +42 offset 18's on my car, lowered too and I don't have any problems whatsoever. Not even any rubbing issues.

I believe the 17" 5x100 RPF1s have a .48 offset.

I have a set of 16" RPF1s on my Civic (I just got my WRX to replace it, but haven't sold it yet), and they are great rims. Very light, easy to clean, and you don't see them every day either.
