How is Azenis in the rain?

How is Azenis in the rain?
Well, my first flat tire today... 
Don't want to spend moeny right now, not right before the holidy. I do have a set of 215/45/16 azenis at home for autox. How does azenis handle in the rain? I'll be driving on 101 and 17. as long as they are not TOO bad, i'll just be careful while i drive. any info would be great!

it's not that bad.
it won't slide like you are on ice.
depends on how much tread you have though.
shouldn't be a problem.
I have 225/45/17 azenis and went to Vegas from LA in storm.
I used to live in San Jose so I know how 17 is... drive carefully.

No offense to you, but it sounds silly that you should have to drive your AWD car carefully in the rain. I have the Azenis too and I've been lucky enough not to have to test them in the rain yet.

If there's standing water and the tires are well-worn they might be a little squirrely, but since they're nearly new and have plenty of tread I wouldn't worry about it at all. If the pavement is just wet (no standing water) they'll grip better than other tires, even with little tread left.
I've driven in the rain on Kumho Victoracers that had nothing but two circumferential grooves about 1/32 - 1/16" deep. I just kept an eye out for puddles of standing water and I was fine.

i know it grips better than the re92 on just wet ground. but there was A LOT of standing water for the past two days. And probably more to come. AWD is not invensible. If you hydroplane on all four, i don't think AWD could do anything for you. The rain really sucks. On my way home to get my azenis, a lady t-boned me.. not too bad, just some cratches on the rear bumper. She couldn't stop in time...
I now have the azenis on. it has been a good day so far. not a whole lot of standing water. Thanks a lot for all the info guys.

they are great on dry okay on wet and sucks with standing water. It's entirely up to you if you want to use them as daily tires or not. They'll hold just fine, but they'll wear out fast too (comparing to re92). I am putting the re92s back on soonest I have the flat replaced. I'll use the azenis for track only. Plus, I have 215/45/16 for azenis, so it screws up my milege a little. If you are just wondering if they are okay for daily, sure. but I don't think they'll last as long as the re92s.

Hmmm. ..thanks for the information. I guess I'll have to cross them off my list. I have hit standing water too many times. It collects especially in the dips on 101 like the lake that sometimes forms under the 92 overpass to risk it. I don't need to become an all wheel hovecraft in the rainy rush hour traffic.
