Help me decide on tire size
Just wanted some inputs on a tire size from the fellow I-clubbers
I have a set of Enkei RPF1s in 17x8 and can't decide whether to go 235-40/17 or 245-45/17 RT-615s
the reason is these will be my light weight set so I kind of want to get the lightest tire possible.
weights from Falken's site:
235-40/17: 24.3 lbs
245-45/17: 28.7
RPF1s 17x8: 15.6
so the difference in weight would be 4.4 lbs each wheel/tire mounted or total of 17.6 lbs of EXTRA unsprung weight it I go with the 245-45/17s
Only downside is the 235-40/17s are NOT reinforced
Let me know what you folks think?
