The tires rub the rear fender and yes I had to use a camber bolt kit to adjust the rear http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/bul...74_KCA412.pdf. I hope the rear adjustment will fix the problem but Im not sure if it will or not (I would think so) but if not I may have to buy some struts to stiffen things up a bit. Ill have it done this week and I will tell you if it fixs the problem. You have a 2" drop and I have a 1.2" drop so Im not sure if -1.5 camber alone will do it for you. You may have to roll the fenders (not sure though).

Mo Rex - actually the sizes I got are straight from Rays/Volk recommended fitment.
2 degrees of negative camber is way too much for a street car IMHO, unless tire wear is not a consideration for you.
With the 215/45, yes your speedo is ever so slightly off, but you will have zero rubbing issues

Yea I know that -2 is too much. The only reason it was @ -2 is because I didnt have my camber bolt kit when I installed the springs. After I received the kit I went to -1 and have rub in the rear (only when pushing really hard) so Im going back to stock specs -1.5. I wanted to go with more - camber in the front to adress understeer but it looks like that may be a problem since I will be at -1.5 in the rear which is the max with out tire wear issues (I think). Looks like I will have to get a rear swaybar for understeer.
Thanks.

huh. i run -1.8 front camber, and -0.8 in the rear, and i don't think it adversely affects my tire wear. my driving style adversely affects my tire wear, but thats another story. then again, i'm okay wearing out tires pretty quickly.
MO REX you might try adding a little bit of toe out in the rear when you get your next alignment, it'll help the car rotate a bit better . i run 2mm of toe out in the rear, and it helps quite a bit.

Thanks for the info Dropkick muppet, I thought of doing that but Im worried about tire wear since toe helps contribute to uneven tire wear with - camber (at least thats what Ive been told). For the most part my rex is daily driver that gets a workout on the local back roads on the weekends.

No its cool, this also assists me when I get my rims,
but still debating if I should get 17x8.5 or 17x7.5
and more opinions on width and ratio would be helpful as well..
maybe people with the actual experience with different tires size can be helpful as well....

I would think since my tires rub in the rear with a 1.2" drop (stock struts) with -1 rear camber and 7.5 wide You would have a problem with a 2" drop and 8.5 wide without massive - camber. If your coilovers are very stiff that may make the difference (I dont know). Maybe you should post a thread labled; Does anyone have 17x8.5 rims on a rex.
Good luck.
Good luck.

not a problem. toe will contribute a bit to tire wear, more so than camber. i find that i wear out tires fast enough that it doesn't really matter what my alignment settings are, since my driving style is the bigger issue.
with coilovers, you have more room in the wheel well. keep in mind that you can also rub on the strut body, and coilovers have a much smaller diameter than the stock struts, or any struts for that matter.
