Ive been wanting to get some wheels on my 06 wrx. should i stay with 17? or move up to 18? wat looks better? and wats the tires i should get and not rub?
if you are going for looks and money is no object go for the 18s all the WRXs look nice with 18s but if you dont want to brake the bank every time you need tires stick with the 17s eather way you could spend 650 to 3k on wheels its up to you and what you like as far as what will rub and what wont that has to do with your offset and how wide of a tire you use
with a 48 offset and a 7.5-8.0in wheel you can get 225-235 but you might have to role the finder depending on how low you are if you are stock hight or on the pinks you wont have any need to role the finders well I hope I helped

I've got 17x7.5's on my car and went with toyo 245/45/17's and this is how they came out.
I personally would prefer 18's but these wheels are the hard to find and not many left in the states. So i made the sacrafice.

first and foremost, what suspension are you on, coilovers/ springs...???
if you were on springs, 17s or 18s would fit fine. it all depends if you wanted to cover up the gap that usually occurs between the fender and the wheel with most dropped cars. id probably recommend a 225 or even a 235 wheel size.
i use to run 17s and had 225/ 45/ 17 tires, and i didnt like the gap, so in this case i shouldve went 235 to cover that gap. when i went with 18s, i thought since its a bit bigger than 17s, 225 shouldve been fine, but i still had that gap.
now that im on coilovers, the drop with 225 gives my car a real aggressive look but 235 would have suited me better with the gap issue.
hope this helps, if your interested in some wheel and tires at great prices, check www.subydude.com
