Alignment setting

found this useful for basic alignment understanding

For your convenience, here is the alignment spec for the car (I highlighted the important areas) Note that when it says x' that means x minutes, or, x/60 degrees so -0°30' is actually -0.5° and 4°50' is actually 4.8°

On the left side where it lists the +/- tolerances, this is where the alignment flunkie may try to claim your alignment is "within spec" because it falls within the tolerance. Do not accept this. Your tolerances for an STI should be MUCH tighter than this.

The tolerance on the camber should be about 6' (0.1°) but really it will be okay as long as both sides are equally negative (the more negative the better).
The tolerance on the toe should be about 2mm or 0.08inches (5' per side or 0.083° per side, depending on how they measure).
The tolerance on caster should be about 0.2 degrees and preferably the right side is the higher side if they are not equal. This is to assist the car in driving straight down a slightly crowned road. Personally, I prefer the car to be perfectly equal on caster because i drive on 4-8 lane highways which puts me on both sides of the crown pretty much equally.
The tolerance on thrust angle should be 10' or 0.16°. Having a large thrust angle will not only make for odd handling, but also drastically reduce fuel efficiency.
