01 2.5 Size of Rims?
01 2.5 Size of Rims?
Im looking to get some new rims, but havent decided exactly what I want yet. One thing I was wondering, I was looking at TireRack and it seems that the biggest you can go is 18*7.5. I think those look really good, but will rims this big negatively effect the performance of my car at all?
The car came with 16s so should I stick with those or is it alright if I buy larger ones?
Thanks.

Don't go over 17" on you car, not really getting any added benefits w/ 18" other than looks and your ride quality is terrible. Also stick w/ rims that are +50 + offset to avoid any rubbing issues. DOn't worry about getting rims wider than 7.5" inches since you can't fit your fenders unless you get them rolled.

If you're not looking for every possible edge for some sort of competiton, 17x7.5 is the way to go. There are quite a few wheels now that are that size with a +48 to +52 offset that work great. Between TireRack and SubyDude.com, you can find quite a few different wheels that come in well under $1000, and if you want to spend a little more for some bling factor, lots of i-club vendors carry wheels from Volk, Work, SSR, etc. Proper tire sizing is either 215/45R17 or 225/45R17.
