Yeah, i was thinking that as I wrote my last post....and i apologize...but to clear up the question yes, u can pass smog with a catless uppipe, the STi's dont have cats on the uppipe...and if u run the car a little before taking it in, get it hot (they will test it hot anyway) u should pass no prob....as long as u put the stock DP back on of course.

i hate to add insult to injury guys, but we also get 93 octane. Every single gas station has it at the pump. Some of them even offer 91 but i dont know why. Oh and on top of all that, there is no exhaust noise ordinance, only after 9:30pm do they say anything and thats only in neighborhoods.

plus it never gets cold (well, at least really really cold), so engines dont wear out as quickly, you dont have cold start, and cars just run better and go faster here in central florida.

Nice car and numbers.

Can you have them post the dyno graph of the 538whp run as the one on the video is clearly not from that run, they overlay the graph with the numbers but that graph is of a 373.7whp run not a 500+ run and I for one would love to look at the power curve without freeze framing the video only to find it to be the wrong dyno graph.

I say go for it endless. If you can deal with some hurricanes every year and the heat its not a bad place to live. You can drive your car year round and there are plenty of nice roads to have fun on.

I wish...but im teathered by school n other crap. But as for my car, it would be perfect...then I could really get everything out of my Ver. 7 STi drivetrain without worrying about smog and getting popped for exhaust or some crap like that and having my hood popped and then them taking pictures and sending me to the smog ref....blah blah pain in the ***.

OH and cant forget all the chicas in FL (not like CA has a problem with that tho)

In CA you don't have to have a muffler on ur car. . .. . as long as u pass emissions. LA is like a toned down Miami. Hot chicks, awesome beaches, surfing, and oh yeah CARS. and LOTS oF $$$$.

As for drag strips, Sacto has seen a 1000+WHP Viper. It has come out a couple times. Then you'll also get some rich guys from Granite Bay that will bring out their cars. I've seen a twin turbo'd Camaro that did a wheel stand, MBZ SL65 ($150k), couple Ferarri's, some mod'd Z-06's, etc.) There was a civic there one time that ran an 11sec. 1/4. NOT street legal at all, infact a quarter panel fell off on the one and only pass. Trust me, I'm not promoting this car AT ALL. I HATE HONDAS. Anyway. . . We get our fair share of cool cars that come out to Sacto. The nationals come through once a year (jet cars doing 300mph)

California isn't bad. I love it. I'm moving back after college.

Sorry but you have been talking in this thread like you know these people personally so I just assumed you had access to the dyno sheet not just someone flossing someone elses ****.
