Hey guys got a fmic for my gc8 it's pretty much stock and I know f all about wrxs compared to my r33s and was wondering if I should wait till I got more mods first any help would be appreciated

 

Id get a few more mods as each mod you do requires a remap and will save you a few £'s in the long run. Also you will notice alot more, the big jump in power if you fit alot of parts at the same time then stick it on the rollers :-)

 

No need for a Fmic unless you go big turbo or something like that... But that jmo, to each it's own

 

Not sure what you drive, but nothing you will be doing with any stock turbo Subaru would warrant a FMIC unless you live in an extremely hot environment (Middle East, Arizona, etc). Pretty much all FMICs have cores that are far too big for smaller turbos and the advantages of running the stock turbos (spool up/responsiveness) are negated by running a FMIC for negligible peak power gains.

 

I live in Australia and have a td05 20g turbo just bolted up and the lag is insane I've gone from 1500 - 2000 spool to 4500 rpm spool it's ridiculous should of got a 16 or 18g
