Car Info: 07 Sti aka Subrina!
another tune by Ed@Eq tuning

2007 Sti aka Subrina

modlist:
Titek catted Dp 3"
Borla Hush 3"
walbro fuel pump

outside temp 96 deg F
intake temps 140-170

274whp/ 296tq
10.8AFR on spoolup down to 10.6AFR by redline
19.5 max psi

after 10k miles of daily driving the jerkyness and the unnecessary stress on the motor had to end I finally said enough is enough "I deserve better" i scheduled my tune last minute with Ed. Ed was more than accomadating I typically have a very tight work schedule and he filled me into his already tight schedule two days later.

key factors I wanted from the tune was smooth acceleration throughout the powerband, a safe reliable tune, DD drivability, good throttle response low and high, boost to come in quickly when needed.
Ed showed me different variations in how throttle relation would effect how much and how fast boost would kick in then let me decide which I liked best.
The end result was a progressive throttle power was available at all throttle angles and it pulled smoothly through all the gears.
to date one week later the car feels amazingly better than the day of the tune mostly due to the high temps that week and heat soak. if I could make any changes to the tune I wouldnt, I love it too much.

Special thanks to Ed @eq tuning!!

Hey Fred,

I'm glad you're enjoying the tune. That's really how the car should drive from the factory... I don't know what they were thinking with the stock 07 calibration!

Here is your chart:

Thanks

good choice, lot of 07's have blown supposedly due to a bad factory tune and this seems to be absolutely true. Ed tricked you tho, he really works for Balco.

The 07 stock calibrations should really be made illegal... no excuse for something that dangerous to the engine to come out of the factory. BTW... what the heck is Balco?

Yep... not bad at all for the conditions. I was hoping to get over 300ft-lbs, but considering the heat we were both happy with the numbers and especially the overall feel of the car.

Yep, I generally see similar power from 04-06 STI's with the same mods.

Most basic setups are $350 flat rate, and I end up spending 2-3 hours on them.

Thanks
