If my knowledge serves me correctly having a smooth powerband and graph is a product of having smooth and consistent AFR's and timing.

Here's boost and a/f on one of the final 4th gear pulls.

It might be a little hard to tell exactly where the a/f is but it starts out at 10.8:1 on spoolup and in the 10.6's the rest of the way. Smooth enough for ya?

Let me know if you want to see anything else.

Thanks

Damn, another great tune, Ed - Graph looks amazing!

Question - In your opinion, are headers worth it for the stock turbo (good bang for the buck)? Also, which do you like most, equal or unequal? What differences do you see when tuning them?

Speaking as someone that isn't a tuner, I've heard equal length offers better results over unequal, but your car will sound "like a honda with *****." The Subaru rumble will be gone.

Equal length headers are the way to go if you want a substantial increase in power output and don't mind the exhaust note changing.

To me, the sound is not bad, just different.

I'm guessing with his lack of response that he's decided he doesn't know and has nothing to contribute to the thread so will now STFU?

That's pretty much on the dot. Although you will get fairly similar results with EL and UEL headers with the stock turbo, the EL units generally make a bit more overall power and make the whole car run significantly smoother. Depending on the rest of your exhaust, any headers will change the tone significantly. Most EL headers definitely get rid of a lot of the boxer rumble, but they can sound badass in their own way. I tuned a car with Perrin EL on race gas and it was one of the best sounding stock turbo cars I've heard.

Thanks
