+1 Ed @ EqTuning
After getting my AccessPort 2.0 I was thrilled to be able to finally get some performance gains out of the 2.5L motor in my '06 WRX wagon. Having run the stg1 CA 91 Octane off the shelf Cobb map for about a month or so I was getting frustrated with the lack of boost I thought the stock TD04 should be pushing and so my search for a tuner began. My mods are primarily suspension oriented (all the kartboy bushings, shifter and endlink wizardry, pink springs, whiteline sways, steering rack bushings)...a wise man once told me to appreciate the power bestowed on thee before seeking more. And so the only engine related mod I had was a Borla Hush. After doing my research and reading up on people's reviews on the local tuners available I decided to go with EqTuning. I contacted Ed and he answered my n00b questions at length. I told him I was just seeking to maximize what the 2.5L + TD04 shoulda been from the factory. One Hallman Pro MBC and EqTuning session later and these are the numbers we were able to come up with.

Road tuning was a blast. We spent about 2.5 hrs going up and down a runway type road to ensure the boost was smooth throughout all the gears. Ed was very thorough and made sure that everything was perfect before uploading his map on my AP. I highly recommend this guy to anyone looking for a great tune and a smooth ride. Some might think I shoulda got a DP first before wasting $ on a tune but to me it was well worth it to get a setup efficiently utilizing my exisiting components.

Dont worry though....power mods to come! But I'm enjoying the current setup...it's awesome as a daily driver. In the future I'll get that DP and I'll make the decision as to whether to go for a Vf-34 or TD18G. Also need to pick up some shoes...
