You are more than welcome to try and upgrade the gearset for a 6-speed. Our whole take on it is this: an automatic is a lot cheaper to replace than a 6-speed.

We retail our Stock STI block for $1500 (not inc shipping).

The 2.5 L spools the VF30 like a stock turbo!!!
sheesh!!! It's like...getting a stage 4 except with stock behavior...

We bill short block installation at 15 hours at $55 an hour labor.
So labor would be $825 on top of the price of the Crawford/STi block or the stock STi block.

As always fees changed without notice. So please contact us for the most up to date information.

How complicated and expensive would a 5 speed to 4EAT transmission conversion be?

Depends on where you gets your parts: TCU, Tranny, driveshaft, Torque converter, gear box, pedals, etc. Plan on spending about $1500-$2000 on parts alone.
A complete conversion takes ~11+hours.
