STi no forged pistons?
Anyone heard about this or can confirm?
the STi doesnt come with Forged pistons?

Yep. That was an old press release. The US STI's came with Hyper Cast pistons. The rods are STI forged rods.
The liners are not dry and in fact the blocks are all the same. On the Non STI blocks the extra supports are machined out. You can see this if you tear down any New age Subaru engine.
