2.5 STi blocks w/custom forged pistons
Tired of your WRX not having enough torque? Want some more reliable power?
Well, we have three 2.5 STi short blocks sitting on the shelves. These blocks are brand new. Each has had the stock STi pistons replaced with Crawford Performance forged pistons. Hence the CR has changed from 8:7 to 8:1.
So, for $2500 you get a New STi 2.5 short block with Crawford Performance forged pistons, and head gaskets. We can include ARP head studs for an additional $185.
A few things to note:
Yes, it is a direct replacement for a USDM 2.0 short-block.
Yes, it will bolt on directly with no interference.
Yes, stock WRX heads will work
It takes about 15 hours to completely swap short blocks.
The sale price does not include shipping. Shipping (crated) weight is ~130 lbs.
Feel free to ask questions,

Block issues with 2.5 sohc heads? They will fit however beware:
The SOHC head is 3.86" thick.
The DOHC head is 3.06" thick.
That is a difference of .80"
Be careful and get the right studs. ARP studs are designed for a twin cam style head, not the single cam style. The threads on the top of the ARP stud are 1.00" long.

The 2.8 short block retails for $7500.
The 6-speed (estimated to hold 500hp) may indeed be able to handle the power. However, we encourage people to run the 2.8 with an automatic tranny.

Would a hardened gear set,and stronger axles enable you to use the 6-speed.I don't like automatic trannys.I also didn't know you sold a 2.8 insano motor thats the badest motor i have ever heard of.Now i know what i'm saving up for!
