OK OK seriously though, I think this stuff has probably gone on for years. With an administation that can't seem to keep it's **** together for 5 minutes combined with the fact the Dems are on a witch hunt and are looking for GOP blood........it's a recipe for exposure.

I think you may be right. I also think that we're finally hearing about it because it doesn't have to be as safeguarded thanks to the PA.
I don't think the Pentagon had to read a manual on how or why to do this... they've done it all along.

I suggest a hybrid "running man-style" execution after convictions for un-American activities! Forget this drawn-out tookie-style stuff.

Wait...let me rephrase that...no American who actually values the rights this country affords us would want other Americans to be persecuted for their political ideals. You really need to figure out that personal freedoms ARE more important than your paranoias...personal freedom really is what this country is about when it comes down to it, and we're losing ground to the rest of the world in this respect.

Many of the laws to prosocute subversives is already on the book, and these laws USED TO BE enforced. It is ludicrous to somehow contend that we are losing freedom when people can freely say now what used to get them locked up or "suicided."
In other words, stfu.

What I'm saying is that you, I can tell from your posts, would rather have false positives (people who are innocent being followed/detained/whatever) than giving Americans the benefit of the doubt...that's wrong.
In other words, just because someone doesn't agree with our gov't or your opinion doesn't mean they are subversive.
I hope you get blacklisted, just so you can experience what type of authoritarian schlock you espouse.

Just because you hate freedom doesn't mean that everybody does.
In fact, if you are against freedom, you are with the terrorists.

you guys shouldnt be worried about the .mil'rs you should be living in fear of the .com'rs, .gov'rs and .org'rs...
Think commerical companies, think TLA's, think FBI etc.
.mil is ehh they are and should be more focused on the same stuff that some of the TLA's are focused on. It is pretty damn bad when more and more stuff attention is being brought in house. mainly on us citizens who have NO TIES TO OUTSIDE COUNTRIES/NATIONSTATES.
But hey **** all i say

It might just be me, but imagine the potential for disaster if we let things just go into entrophy. I don't do anything illegal, so (and again) I don't mind compromising the privacy of other potential wrong-doers to protect the American public. They're obviously not going to be to overly concerned with the Average Joe. They don't have the time of day to investigate people on threat lists let alone the aggregate American public. Again, just my opinion.
You probably would change your mind if you knew how easy it is to A. Find information publicly and privately. B. Knew what sort of conclusions, assumptions, judgements can be made from such private and public information. C. Were ever "investigated" on such a level.
Lets just say it doesnt take a CIA strike team to find out a **** TON about an indvidiual to the point where you could "guess" intent, actions, reactions, etc in certain situations.
Hell just dumpster diving someone you can find a crap load of information on them (even if you dont get bills and what not). Food preferences, life style choices, magazines, junk mail, etc. It all adds up to build a profile, and depending on the information you have that can be a very very very interesting portait of an individual. Of course this is all assuming your mark isnt on to the fact that you are watching him. Then you get in to the whole "intentional tainting of information" deal.
Not that i know much about the tactics the feds use, but as an infosec dweeb i know how i would do things, and that alone should scare the beejebus out of everyone. (i know it makes me think twice or three times about things).
