wtf bush?

now i was just watching the nightly news and they interviewed bush down in new orleans and he said he read "three shakespeares" over the summer...which i dont beleive.....and (this is taken completely out of context)...his strategy in office is to "keep expectations low"....didnt remember the entire sentence but wtf is he talkin about? who brags about the fact that they are completely inept in office and therefore keep expectations low so that it doesnt look so bad when they mess up...

Bush "I don't pay that much attention to what people think about me (not verbatim)"

Peter Jennings "Still not watching television huh?"

Bush "Well I watched the baseball game..."

"keep expectations low" should be the navy's new motto. We have some of the laziest people and since everyone knows they're lazy they don't expect anything, in turn letting them get away with it, while I get stuck working 90 hours a week and walking around like the living dead.

i don't understand....when clinton was in office my family paid far lower taxes then they do now.....republicans tax working familes higher than democrats and give upper class citizens tax breaks(trickle-down economics)

I can't speak for the over >100k folks because I wasn't there under Clintoon, but I've always considered my bracket middle-class because you have to make $100k in the Bay Area to buy a POS condo and afford a new car. I know my taxes went down. I noticed the kids and dumbasses who got by paying no taxes for years now pay a small amount, too, 'cause I was there at one point.

You are not in the middle class of American society by census standards. If you made 100k plus in almost any area but California you would be upper-class by definition. Fortunately for you the tax-cut doesn't see those lines drawn around California and a few other areas (NYC, etc.) So you would pay less taxes under Bush than you would under Clinton, don't blame Clinton for that though, that is your choice to live in a state that is so grossly out of proportion with the rest of the nation in living expense (sans Hawaii, for good reason)

The Census Bureau places the middle class around families that earn between 40k and 95k anually.
