Will Iraq ever be truely "free"?

Just as the title says....

My opinion is they will but it will end soon, because I believe that most likely the same fundamentalists that have taken over many other Middle east countries will do the same in Iraq in a completley legal through the election system. This power group will then change the system so that they stay in power and start to control all aspects of peoples lives much like in select other Middle east countries.

I'm torn betwen yes, but for a short time... and not likely. I went with not likely though because it doesn't seem to be moving in that direction. Even though we are pushing for elections in Jan. we have already hinted that some areas may not be able to vote for security reasons. How free is that?

I don't know the answer but as of right now I would say no. I don't think "Iraq" as a country will be around after we leave. If we don't leave we are going to be stuck there for a lot of years to come... not just 5 or 7 im thinking 10 to 20 years. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I really dont care if they are or are not. I would rather see domestic problems solved before we liberate a whole country
