I could tell you countless stories of how "Blacks" & "Mexicans" discriminated/harrassed/annoyed me.
But why?
What purpose would it serve?
"Suck it up & drive on" was what a mean, old, drill sergeant told me.
Only you can let others get to you.

I went to court to fight a ticket (speeding & illegal passing on the right) issued by a black "dwarf" cop.
He lied; said I was passing on the median & on the shoulder.
Guess what...the black judge sided with the black cop.
Yes, I was angry...but it didn't make me distrust/hate all black people...just those two.
My friend has been pulled over & harassed many times by one particular black female cop.
I was with him during one such stop & can tell you that the officer commited two hate crimes & violated our Civil Rights.
Her sargeant, also black, was called to the scene & also commited the same "atrocities".
All I can say, is that they are lucky to be alive.
This didn't make me hate all black people...just those two.
During my punk rock phase, which I still haven't outgrown, I was harassed, threatened, & hit by white redneck cops & black trash officer getting in a little payback for "439 years of oppression."
So, we can sit here and have a weenie measuring contest, trying to decide which one has been oppressed the most by "The Man", or we can move on.
I'm choosing to move on.
What it comes down to is this:
People want power; some more, some less.
People that have achieved power, want to keep it & expand their grip even further.
The GOP has their stradegy.
The Dems have theirs.
I believe that the Dems message of relying on the Government, that people can't further themselves without the Gov'ts assistance, is bull****.
People like Feinstein & Boxer are not looking out for my best interest, they are looking at grabbing more power.
And if they have to sell out the Constitution in order to achieve the next level of power, by God, they will do it.
LIberalism is the biggest lie ever perpetrated on the American people.
Bigger than the election of 2000 & 2004.
Liberalism has it's roots in Communism, and if you think Bush is bad, go ask some Russian & Ukranian immigrants that lived through Communism what they think.
People that ****ing ***** and complain about the US government & blame the US for all of the world's woes are missing a nutrient, hate their parents, or suffer from head trauma.
Yeh, you'll say that you've travelled the world and see how much better countries like France, Germany, England, Cambodia are.
Who gives a ****; until you've lived in a crountry, immersed yourself in the culture, your opinion don't mean **** to me.
What country gets blamed for all the problems in the world? America.
What country is called upon to fix other countries **** ups? America.
The world can't have it both ways.
**** it, why do I waste my time.
You got your beliefs, which I know are wrong.
And I got my beliefs, which you know are right.
My head hurts, and I gotta put my 13 month daughter to bed.
Have a nice "rest of the weekend", my friend.
Then why aren't you in jail HellaDumb?
To answer Oaf, in general there are more white cops than black cops right? You named two or three incidents you have had with them. Guess what I can go out with a group of black friends and be harrassed a lot more than when I go out with my white friends. **** I have yet to be randomly pulled over when with just my white friends. To say that racisim should be ignored, doesn't solve a goddamn thing. And continues the problems, if you ignore things and move on NOTHING changes. And again how do you say I hate or they hate all white people? Your talking absolutes here and thats false.
I won't even enter your liberlaism statement at all. Just not worth the effort. But in my oppinion your wrong, so lets just leave it at that. But I will reply to you stating about the Dem's statement, about relying on the government. You really don't understand there message at all. Or just plain decide that Dem's want everyone living off the government tit, which is false.
Guess what I HAVE immersed myself in different cultures, **** the first time I set foot in the US was when I was a freshmen in Highschool. I KNOW what other cultures are about, actually two different ones mainly not including US. So i guess my oppinion does mean something to you after all.
America is part of this world and America is not perfect unlike what you are trying to portray. It takes part in a world that doesn't just sit by, if you believe America is the only one that helps other and fixes **** then god help us all you are more ignorant than I thought.
Last, I find it amusing that you assuming your right and im wrong. Oh well doesn't matter does it since my oppinion matters to you after all.
Maybe someday you'll see the "light".
Sadly no fun this weekend work and installing crap in bro's new house is my weekend! Woot atleast in return he is building me a Home Theater PC.

Hahaha, damn you all for getting my into the Politics forum...
As a "minority" (but technically a member of the world majority: you figure it out, it's not tough
), I'd definitely say that the success and/or failure of a particular person of ethnic descent in America is independent of one's connection to one's own cultural roots. Specifically, a person can be the most Chinese guy you ever met but be a total washup. On the flip side, there could be a black guy that is the most white washed Uncle Tom you'd ever met but still be considered "successful" in America in regards to wealth, power, or any one of many other common gauges to measure "success". Hence, a person could say, "Hey, Elaine Chao is a successful Chinese American", but that won't keep her from being booed off stage in New York Chinatown (true event). True, she's a member of the Bush Cabinet, but Chinese people don't like her because she's done nothing to acknowledge her cultural roots. Is success gauged in the fact that she is a top federal official, or is failure measured in the fact that she's the least Chinese person of Chinese descent that you'd ever meet? Likewise, there's no denying Colin Powell's great deeds, but how "African American" is he? Generally speaking, the Bush Cabinet, despite a large number of minority members, is exceedingly white-washed. But does that even matter? If they do a good job, do we care about their race? If they fail, will we blame them because of their race, because of their political affiliation, or because some other reason?
And I won't even touch Alberto Gonzalez
However, I would argue that there are many "successful" minorities that have not forgotten their cultural roots. And a number of them are democrats. Robert Matsui, Daniel Inoue, and Thurgood Marshall are examples of "successful" minorities that have not forgotten their cultural roots and just so happen to be Democrats
Hence, I believe that success and cultural awareness are independent of one another and go beyond just political affiliations. And that's why real Americans don't vote along party lines, ethnic divides, or for kickbacks (whether tangible or intangible). Real American patriots vote for the most qualified candidate to fulfill the responsibilities of a particular position.
My 2 cents

As Chris Rock said.
"there are no wealthy black people. Shaq ain't wealthy he's rich. The white man that signs Shaq's check. He's wealthy!"
All funny stuff aside I doubt democrats hate successful minorities since alot of successful democrats are indeed minorities. Nice blanket statement though. I gotta go start hatin on some minorities now.
