Not likely. I'm sure most Iraqis would be offended or at least laugh if you claimed that George Bush were anywhere near Saddam on the brutality scale.

Yeah, I bet there's more Americans than Iraqis that think so.

how lame is that to have a tribute to some other countries leader. Either way, I really don't think the statue will ever be erected.

I've read in various places that according to people who have been jailed by both Saddam and the US, the US torturers are much, MUCH worse.

But what would any of them know?

Awesome, you get a rare opportunity to support your statements: Please name these places where you've read such a ridiculous thing.

Then, do a websearch for Uday and Qusay Hussein. I hope you'll have some kind of explanation for what you read about.

Edited: I searched for you to start you off.

Good summary article:

Short list of some of his practices:

Do you need more? So far, the only counter site I've found is on commondreams.org, and it's an account from a Mahdi army fighter loyal to Muqtada al Sadr. Yeah, super credible!

Yeah, there was a program an the history channel a couple weeks ago about hussains torture chambers, I fail to see how underwear on your head is worse than some of the things they showed. My wife couldn't even watch it. And she thinks the pics in her dads work files are cool(he's a homicide investigater)

I was thinking the same thing. Or what if there was a hitler memorial plaque alongside our highways. I guess that really doesn't compare though, althuogh some of you guys may think so.

Face it psoper... there's no talking your way out of this one man. There's no outrunning that helicopter spotlight on foot.

There is a long list of responses that the US citizen have available to them, all along the spectrum. Anything from writing letters to the editor of your hometown newspaper (or car club forum) to not voting for the guy all the way to insurrection.

What did you do? Did it make you feel better?

Nothing. What should I do?

I'm so scared of making a measured and thoughtful response that I figured I'd just try and be funny.

Im sorry but you can not justify at all how this war was handled by this adminstration. It was done very poorly and we mislead the world. I think we can ALL agree that these decisions have cost us more of our soldiers lives. And has lost us the respect from the world and our allies. But hey they get to vote and we get oil so what does it matter. Oh a side not I LOVE how all the republicans are now saying, "Oh I knew there where no WMD in Iraq." Priceless concidering past threads that most of them wrote in. You know who you are.

Oh and Oaf that was funny.
