Ive been reading a little bit on this -

Why do you guys get all high and mighty when people ask for more money in the aftermath of a multinational natural disaster when so far we have only spent 1/32 (i'm sure the figure extends far beyond this) the amount that we have spent "liberating" iraq?

Don't you think that maybe your priorities are mixed up?
Seriously, on a humanitarian level, do the math. It's absurd.

And if it isn't absurd in your beady republican eyes - then don't you think that it at least warrants CRITICISM?!!?!

OH NO, PEOPLE SAYING SOMETHING BAD!!!

I just can't believe you idiots are suprised and shocked! We are involved in a war in which almost the entire world is against.

I think its funny that the UN doesn't recognize American aid unless its from taxes!

"the largest contributor to international relief and aid efforts, not only through the government, but through charitable organizations. The American people are very giving."

It doesnt matter.

Scenario :

You hate your uncle because he smokes crack.
Your uncle buys you a muffin one day.
Your uncle still smokes crack.

Do you like your uncle now?

In other words - we are not going to be able to anything right in the eye's of the world until we stop acting like *******s. Sure, we may be giving, but we're also involved in somthing terrible for causes shady at best.

Don't be shocked and outraged and suprised when people don't like us - thats the consequence of #1 being an ******* and #2 supporting an ******* president.
Thats the deal you signed up for, whether you knew it or not, retard.

High & mighty?
Idiot!?
On a humanitarian level, I'd rather that every deserving US CITIZEN have a house, a job, and food, before one red cent was shipped overseas.

You know damn well that when this is all over it will be our country that will have contributed the most money.
Last night, France gave > $200K!!
Think about that: France gave less than what you, me, and Salty make in a year!

I don't hear you crying over that, "idiot."

Oh really, so globally on a humanitarian level you don't want us to send aid to anyone besides ourself until the impossible and idealistic task of fitting everyone in america with their own hotdog and house is complete?

Ok, oaf - seriously - if you can, think about that really hard.....That, in itself is THE EXACT OPPOSITE of global humanitarianism.

Thanks for once again missing my point, i don't mind though - so far i've had to explain everything to you twice and ask you to re-read my posts, so i guess it's up to par at this point.

France :
Not a superpower.
Not in an unpopular and expensive war.
tiny.
mostly *******s, which most of the world can agree on.

WE are a superpower, we are expected to dish the most cash, we are expected to make the most noise. Thats our deal - so when people voice their criticism, we need to be able to take it without a belligerent and misinformed call to arms. If we are in an unpopular war, it should be expected.

On a humanitarian level, I'd rather that every deserving US CITIZEN have a house, a job, and food, before one red cent was shipped overseas.
This is really a great quote, i can't seem to leave it alone.

every DESERVING us CITIZEN?
deserving?
What constitues deserving? Who sets that goal? Do you have to sell chocolate?
Oh yeah, we already have that in effect - it's called "get a job and you'll deserve to have some food and a house".
Or do you want people to be given a free-ride? You mean like welfare?

Sorry...I'm kinda slow.

The only thing I can say after your diatribe is you win...I'm wrong.
