Is voting for Nader a bad thing?

One thing that I am in agreement on with my conservative brethren si the fact that Kerry is a complete tool. I dont trsut that guy any more than W.

I am so tired of the two party system. Even though I dont care for Nader (his scope barely goes beyond anti-coporate sentiments), I am going to vote for him nonetheless. The longer that the two party system dominates our country, the steeper this slipper slope into social discord will become.

I am curious to hear what others think about this issue...

Voting for Nadar is pretty much like voting for Bush since most people that vote Nadar would otherwise vote for Kerry, though you're obviously an exception to that rule. I am a firm believer in not voting if you don't really know who you REALLY want to vote for, and why. Though not voting is basically like voting for the winning party... a Catch 22.

One thing I will say that I am confused by though, is how one can be torn between Nadar/Bush. They are very different in their views on many topics. Kerry/Nadar makes more sense since they are both on the same end of the political spectrum. It seems like you are looking to vote on trust issues alone without considering what their take is on the "issues." What is you view on abortion? Does it fall more in line with Nadar or Bush or Kerry? What is your view on how we handle environmental issues? Who does that view fall more in line with. Knowing that we effectivly live in a two party system, one has to sometimes either vote for the lesser of to evils, or no one at all. If you really find Nadars' views to fall in line with your own, then by all means vote for him. But please don't vote for someone because you don't like the other two.

See, I personally think my vote will count if I vote for Nader. And not because I like him or his policies... more so because in voting for him I am (feably) showing the Dems that I want a party that stands on true edicts, and not just a bunch of BS

Then why not vote Libertarian or ANP.
Voting for someone under the premise of "Anyone but..." is not a sound decision. Read what the Green Party stands for, which is virtually what Nader stands for.
If Socialism is your cup of tea then vote for either the Greens, Nader, Democrats, and to certain extent, the GOP.

I'm an Independant/Libertarian and I believe in the Constitution as it is, in it's entirety.
With the exception of the Libertarians, no other party stands for what I believe.

So my vote is always a wasted vote.
