U.S. aggression threatens intl. peace efforts
With Hamas winning the Palestinian elections, I wonder how much damage the Bush administration has done regarding peace efforts in the Middle East.
Anyone else worried what the future will look like for our children because of the war-mongering policies of the current administration?

This isn't so much a result of Bush's foreign policy. Let's try and give credit to those that have these motivations for once! The stunned EU and USA agree that Hamas winning reflects the aspiration of its people. One voter was quoted as saying, "The Palestinians gave their vote to the party that gave of its blood."
The people voted. Period. Not much you can do on EU, US, or Israeli soil to change they way they voted. This just shows how anti-Western the Middle Eastern and Palestine have become. The entire region has Islamic extremism blinders on toward us. They think that because we welcomed and supported Abbas as the democratically elected leader of the Palestine, then we must recognize Hamas in the same light. Even though that's true there's still no changing the fact Hamas is a terrorist organization.
So I think two things can happen now that Hamas is in this unexpected position:
1) Hamas remains a terrorist/pro-terror organization while it's in power and we continue to recognize them as such despite them been legitimately elected. The Palestinans will call us hypocrites for not supporting the fruits of the democratic process even though everyone here knows they're full of ****. We'll think they're full of **** because them being an indisputable terrorist organization will cancel-out democracy.
2) They try and prove Bush wrong. *which would be nice for the peace process in this case* Hamas takes a firm and sudden stand against terrorism which puts the Bush admin in a very awkward position on where it stands toward terrorism. They'll try and force the Bush admin to be a "bigger person" in order to forgive their previous acts of terror. Of course this will never happen. Not because the Bush admin wouldn’t budge but because the entire fundamental Islamic region isn't capable of coming together in this type of complex plan. A handful of camel ****ers will get impatient for their 72 virgins and ruin everything in no time.

You liberals claim to be smart yet always ignore what’s right there on the surface regarding the type of people we’re dealing with. I don’t get it! Your analytical minds have to be able to see this!Bush's foreign policy between Israel and Palestine promoted peace and was one of the best of any President so far. This vote came out of left field and anyone that matters in politics agrees. Sucks.

The Middle East was ****ed up looooong before Bsh was in power.
What's funny, though, is that it looks like Iran will finally solve the Middle East Issue.

Haha good plan! I need to make one more trip to the middle east though before it all goes as Paul's plan though. Take pics of Lebanaon, Syria and Jordan before it becomes the next great ocean!

it seems like we (government) cant start enough crap with as many countries as possible. i saw something on the news (the little scrolling bars on the bottom) and it said something about something we did and our relationship with japan is a little shaky. thats just what we need, these morons to screw up out relationship and then we get screwed since they obviously make the best cars.
