NASIOC is cannon fodder and doesnt impress me at all, with the petty insults, nor with the mods who create threads to **** off members. dont give yourself too much credit bahahaa

to all the responses here prior to this jackass, sorry, i dont know why i wasnt getting email notification for this thread at all.

the 97E2PF is interrogator, the 2 is my skill level, 1 being E1-E4, 2 being E5, 3 being E6, 4 being E7, etc. PF is the language identifier, Persian-Farsi, the primary language of Iran.

basically im still in the farsi course, but just about to graduate here shortly. i spend most of the day at work reading, and listening to this:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/persian/iran/

The gridsquare thing in training doesnt happen a whole lot because its so expensive to fire off 12 rockets, but in the beginning of conflicts we do it a lot but after the initial push, it becomes not necessary. so they use the MLRS ammo trucks to pick up insurgent weapons caches etc.

the MLRS can hold either 12 rockets or 2 ATACMS missles.

here are some MLRS pics...

^^^^^We got it through default. A NG Artillery unit changed from 155 (tube) to MLRS and they had to qualify with it for it to become they're official unit title. We found out afterwards that they had never fired before and I noticed how nervous I would have been had I known that before hand.

OT...speaking of NG Arty. I went to PLDC with a NG or USAR dude, stationed in Michigan, back in the early 90's who's unit was the last in all of the US Army to have 8"(?) or something huge like that.

what the hell is that supposed to say? what did you do just randomlly type characters that correspond with english? bahahaa

that doesnt mean anything, and furthermore, i think i can make out a few words if you typed it correctly but backwards. you do know that farsi is written from right to left right?

and it looks like, even if that is supposed to say something, if im making out the backwards words right, that you just ran it through an online translator because none of the verbs are conjugated.

uh i have the fonts on my computer. what you wrote, is gibberish. at best you might have a couple of words backwards correct, and then, as i said, you dont have any verbs conjugated and a couple of the words backwards dont mean anything.

granted, i dont know every farsi word there is, but i know enough to at least catch a word, or verb, at the very least, and there isnt a single thing you typed that makes sense.

come back when you know what the **** youre doing.

no literrally, its gibberish. the words if there are any at all, are spelled backwards. if i manipulate the spelling of words i can extract some meaningless definaitions. and if there are verbs, i think i see several instances where he tried to type کردن he typed them backwards, because he has them spelled the other way. plus, they mean pretty much nothing because theyre not conjugated...that word by itself means "to do" but you have to conjugate it. for example, "you do" formal in the present tense would be میکنید notice how it looks totally different.

anyhow, ive seen his posts here, and on nasioc and the guy is a tool. my guess he did one of two things. either he went to some bunk *** translator online, OR the words he wrote are english words but he turned on the farsi font.

the guys a moron, and he trying probably to make some dumb insult in farsi but since he doesnt know **** about the language he jacked it all up. if i didnt have anything better to do, i might sit there and try to decode it, but im an interrogator, not a cryptologist.

i will trust my native iranian co worker over you any day (i leaned over and asked him to email me ***got in farsi.. most likely you are right and it says something like "dr3 is a **** smoking phag who cant speak farsi worth a damn"... funny thing is i am trying to learn it on me own, and not because of any work related functions.. hmm go figure.. first to finish up with my other hobbies..

haha learn any kinesic interrogation techniques? maybe they are starting to teach NLP? both interesting stuff for what you say you do..

And what was my name on nasioc again?

oh and i think it went

"you want to do men in the behind" hahah or "he who wants to do a man" some **** like that.. ill have to ask morrow if he is in the office.

well your windows typing program is ****ed up then, because you typed it all backwards and the verbs arent conjugated.

i had about 8 hours of instruction on kinesic.

the word for man is none of which you typed. either you jacked it up, your youre typing incorrectly. yea im not a native but i do this **** for 8 hours a day for the last year.

and your **** is wrong. its AT LEAST typed backwards. learn how to operate the windows software at least before trying to speak in a language you dont even know to look "cool"

Is it typed backwards... are are you reading it backwards? It was my understanding that non-Latin Middle Eastern languages read right to left...

its incorrect and hes a moron. there are no native persians that cant write in the their own language. i speak with twelve on a daily basis face to face for 3 hours a day.

if you dont believe me, go to www.farsidic.com and click farsi to english, find the characters in order from right to left and punch them in..actually nm you dont know the language well enough to distinguish char in the middle of a word...anyhow... not a single word comes up. i also double checked it with my huge green farsi dictionary as well as my portable electronic dictionary as well as that website.

i think the moron typed it in A) with mistakes, or at least some of the words, B) backwards, meaning, the farsi langauge script right to left is not turned on, so its writing like left to right or backwards somehow, and C) the verbs arent even conjugated.

basically, this guy is a troll. so he gets his supposed iranian coworker to type some crap up. however, the script isnt set right, and the guy (assuming their is one), doesnt even bother to conjugate the verbs, which isnt what a native speaker would do. as i said, i spend twelve hours a day doing this and translating from sites like

www.radiofarda.com etc etc and three hours a day talking to native speakers. if it is a true native, they DONT misconjugate their own verbs.

i recognize the few words if you sit there and spell them backwards etc. in essence, picture writing english incorrectly.

like yltcerrocni (incorrectly), and even on top of that more mistakes, and factor in the fact that its not my first langauge, i cant read it, because it doesnt make sense. furthermore, as i said, the verbs arent conjugated.

picture a NATIVE english speaker saying something like "go shop" and MEANING "i am going shopping". thats how far off the typed **** is, assuming im reading it right BACKWARDS.

so i dont buy it for a second. i think the guy is a douche. learning this language my ***. he doesnt even know how to conjugate verbs and he cant even say for sure what it was SUPPOSED to say.

i can translate news media websites in farsi, speak farsi, and have a listening comprehension in farsi. the government spent 150k dollars to make sure i could read, write, speak, and listen like the equivalent of a high schooler by the end of the course in october. i am by NO means an expert, or some great speaker. but i AM good enough to do translation and transcription work.
