Iraq has degraded from a "Conventional War" to a "Guerilla War" one that is more or less going to continue to destroy the country of Iraq and further cause pain and suffering to that nations people.

If we pull out of Iraq now, there will be a lot more pain and suffering for the "people" of that country you seem to be so worried about. We are helping to keep the peace at this point and the majority of their people that are dieing are at their own hands. We (The United States and our allies) are what is standing between the people of Iraq and a bloodbath of a civil war.

We have now gained a major foothold in the middle east, are in the process of building our largest embasy compound and will have influence on middle east happenings for years to come. As far as I am concerned this is a good thing.

Would you have us simply withdraw and let the dust settle on its own? You can't really be that blind can you?

 

No matter what happens the US is in a bad spot. We stay, people die. We go, people die. Its a lose-lose situation. We as Americans need to pull together and support our government and especially the troops and help get them all out.
