Thank you Ray
So many overbearing replies in this thread!
Seems like every reply you make is negative, so you calling me a ***** doesn't hold much value
I don't push religion on anyone, i have lots of friends that laugh anytime Jesus or God is brought up and it confuses me and worries me that they may not go to the same place i will when we die.
You can think positively through life knowing that your spirit carries on after your life on earth has ended
Or you can go thru life thinking you're gonna rot in the ground, so live it up while you can.
Knowing I'm gonna see my sister, grandmas and grandpas again in Heaven is a great feeling, and i wouldn't have it any other way.
Maybe others are right thinking for themselves, nobody really knows.
But it's no coincidence that all the great people that i've met in my life are religious in some sort, and the people that aren't are just...meh...for the most part. They just seem to be more negative overall. And i'm not saying you cant be positive, i'm just saying i've noticed i find better quality people when they are involved in some sort of religion.

I believe in Christ, not any institution. Be careful not to discriminate and clump together everyone who claims they believe in something as being the same as one another please.

there are so many different sides of religion, that is why i stand neutral.
there are those that really helps people in the name of their lord, i know people that goes to the church my brother goes to, annually they go out to north korea and help the poor. i have maaaad respect for them but there are those who tends to take advantage of people, like the hispanic jesus christ in venezuela or somewhere. he claims to be the second coming of jesus christ and has 150,000 followers....wtf?
or like our government, mixing religion with politics. like the time Palin said, "Iraq is our mission from god" or something similar...that just shocked me...think of the people that actually beliefs that total BS, taking advantage of them.
then there is the hindu vs muslim vs judaism. all killing each other in the name of god. war and religion has always been related to each other since the beginning of civilized world.
anyone has to right to believe what they want but really understand what they're getting themself into.
over time, science has disproved many beliefs one by one, from the sun god, eclipse, tides, earth, and in time, i believe logic and reasoning will become the next religion...

And here you are making assumptions as well. What do you base that on?

i had an auto immune disease at 5
kidney failure at 7
survived 4 surgeries
survived 9 years or parochial school
paid my own way through private college
bought my first house before i could buy alcohol
managed my mothers estate when she died, before i could buy alcohol
survived a colossal car accident
took over my mother mortgage, paying it and my own

Thats a simple question with a very complex answer. But bottom line is, I dont believe in something becuase a book tells me to. Ive been to religious school, Ive been Bar-Mitzvah'ed and Ive been to Israel and organized religion is not for me.

Are you a Catholic? If not this statement does not apply to you. AFAIK only Catholics are baptised. Catholics follow what their leadership says, they donate money to the church, etc. etc.
