The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category.
Just 12% of voters think Congress has passed any legislation to improve life in this country over the past six months. That number has ranged from 11% to 13% throughout 2008. The majority of voters (62%) say Congress has not passed any legislation to improve life in America.

Washington DC is turning into a cluster ****. People there need to calm down and start thinking somewhat rationally, which we all know will not happen anytime soon. It's sad really.

In my opinion Congress should be seen as America's saving grace. When all hell breaks loose we can rely on the America's many elected officials to come up with feasible plan. There are some total idiots in Congress but at the end of the day their opinions balance out. Nancy Pelosi does nothing but ***** for no results. Congress is pathetic right now. Congress had the chance to authorize better body armour for soldiers in the GWOT from the defense budget and didn't. Why? Because the bill had to be passed during a recess (I believe the Christmas one) and they refused to assemble to pass it. Are you kidding me? They can't go into D.C. for a few hours to help soldiers who can't even see their families for the Holidays? Disgusting.

congress has gotten to be a business. Has nothing to do with the betterment of this country or the lives of those in this country.
it's all about what sounds good and what makes the jobs and paychecks coming in for congress members. congress is one of the cushest jobs in the WORLD.
